Trincomalee district is a low-risk District with interrupted child leprosy transmission in all Divisional Secretariate Divisions except Trincomalee Town and Gravetes DSD. Morawewa, Gomarankadawala, Padavi Sripura and Kuchchaveli DSDs have achieved the eliminated status of leprosy while Thambalagamuwa DSD progressing to achieve leprosy elimination status with in the next 3 years.Except above DSDs all other DSDs child leprosy transmission interrupted but adult leprosy transmission is not interrupted.
