Kandy district is a low-risk District with interrupted child leprosy transmission in all Divisional Secretariat Divisions. Doluwa, Delthota, Panvila, Medadumbara, Udadumbara and Hatharaliyadda DSDs have achieved the eliminated status of leprosy while Thumpane, Meegahakiula, and Pujapitiya DSDs are progressing to achieve leprosy elimination status with in the next 4 years.
